Thank you for chosing Glow Day Spa for your Permanent Makeup application. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to follow these instructions carefully! Colour retention and proper healing can depend on your (7-day) home care regimen. Keep the area of pigmentation lightly moist with Triple Antibiotic Ointment for 24 hours. For best results we recommend the following steps:

AVOID:

> Any type of skin peels or products containing Retin – A, glycolic, and make-up over the pigmented area.

> Hot steamy showers, saunas, jacuzzis or long baths.

> Keep your face away from the showerhead and apply a thick coating of tattoo aftercare balm while bathing or showering.

> Avoid soaps, creams or lotions on the pigmented area; wash and apply skin care products around the area.

> No swimming for the period of 5 – 7 days after application.

DO NOT:

> Scratch, pick, or peel as this could cause scarring or removal of colour. Do not touch the area except for applying Tattoo Aftercare Balm or Antibiotic Ointment.

PLEASE NOTE: if you are concerned during the healing process of infection or complications, see your doctor immediately. Colour will appear very SHARP and DARK immediately after your procedure. This is because the colour is sitting on top of the skin. Once the skin starts healing or flaking, the colour will fade considerably as it is then filtered beneath the skin. The final colour should not be considered for approximately 6 – 8 weeks after the final visit. Do not be alarmed if it appears that most of the colour is flaking off. Some of this crusting will appear on your Q-tip; this is normal. This is the superficial colour and is shed as part of the natural healing process. The sun can cause fading to the pigmented area. Always keep a light coat of sunblock on pigmented eyebrows or lips.

A touch-up should be scheduled no sooner than 6 weeks, no later than 10 weeks after initial the procedure.

ZENSA NUMBING CREAM | $50 (30g)

Maximum strength 5% lidocaine to reduce the pain. Lasts 2-3 hours and is safe to reapply on broken skin to extend numbing sensation. pH neutral formulation is safe to use on the most sensitive areas like eyelids, lips and the bikini area.
