Brazilian & Bikini Waxing

Client Confidentiality and Professional Certified Estheticians

Rest assured that every wax down there is as unique as the woman sporting it. Basic bikini line waxes typically clean up hair in the bikini region, wherever hair could poke out from a swimsuit bottom: on the sides of the bikini (or underwear) line and between the belly button and pubic bone. Extended Bikini waxes include everything in a bikini line wax, as well as hair removal on the front of the pubic bone. Here, you can choose to leave behind a strip, triangle, or square. The Brazilian goes a step further by offering complete pubic hair removal: from the front of the pubic bone to the area underneath, called the perineum, to the back.

Brazilian

Waxing

$80 ($90*)

The Brazilian wax removes unwanted hair from the entire pubic area and from the labia. The Brazilian goes a step further by offering complete pubic hair removal: from the front of the pubic bone to the area underneath, called the perineum, to the anus, leaving you 100% bare down there. You can choose to leave a strip, triangle, or square of hair.

Extended Brazilian Waxing

$90 ($100*)

The Brazilian wax removes unwanted hair from the entire pubic area and from the labia. The Brazilian goes a step further by offering complete pubic hair removal: from the front of the pubic bone to the area underneath, called the perineum, to the anus, as well as from the mons pubis. Extended to belly button area and the butt cheeks for incredible smooth results.

Bikini

Waxing

$40 ($45*)

The Bikini wax is a fairly popular solution for those who are seeking to eliminate unwanted hair in the bikini region but leave a more natural look. It covers only the front area of the bikini line.

Extended Bikini Waxing

$60 ($65*)

The Extended Bikini wax includes both front and back of the bikini line. This is the best solution for those who opt to remove more unwanted hair in the area underneath.

Tinting

Lash Tint

$40

For a more natural look, lashes can be tinted in Black, Light Brown, Dark Brown. Lash tint process is simple... You shut your eyes, and the tint is applied to lashes with a fine brush, and allowed to set for at least 10 minutes. Collagen eye pads upgrade available.

Brow Tint

$25

Been to the hair salon for a new color? Match your Brows to your hair color. For a more natural look, brows can be tinted in Black, Light Brown, Dark Brown.

Brow Lightener

$25

It’s the perfect solution if you’ve decided to brighten your hair from brown to blonde and want your brows to match, or if you’re looking to soften your features. Lighter brows translate easily into something that’s wearable in real life with a natural look.

Henna Tinting & Eyebrow Wax

$70

Henna brows are a type of tinting that stains the skin giving you tinted hairs for up to 6 weeks and a tint on the skin that can last anywhere from 2-10 days. It's a fantastic way to try out a shape before committing to semi-permanent makeup, or if you just want your eyebrows shaped and filled temporarily.  Henna eyebrow tinting has been around for thousands of years and has been used for hair dye, body art, and makeup. A lot of people associate henna with the colour red, but henna brows are specially formulated to give a more cool colour tone that is absolutely perfect for eyebrows. The eyebrow wax is important to include as part of the process for any reshaping to suit the new Henna tinting shape.

Brow Lamination Tint & Shape

$105

Brow Lamination (a slightly misleading name, but more on that later) is a way to wake up with feathery, fluffy-looking brows. You've probably seen it on Instagram, and if not, you've certainly seen the brow lamination look and likely wondered, "Hmmm… how do I get my brows to look like that Australian bikini model's brows?" In short, a perm is what it takes. Brow lamination works the same way a Lash Lift does, by chemically changing the way the hairs lie on your face. If you are a lash lift enthusiast, you will be totally intrigued by brow lamination and should jump at the chance to try it! You won't be disappointed, neither will your brows!

Brazilian Waxing FAQ's

After a Brazilian or Bikini wax, you should expect skin to be a little red and tender for about 24 hours. If you experience discomfort, Glow Day Spa estheticians will recommend placing a cool compress on the area or applying a bit of aloe, but be sure to stay away from anything with dyes or perfumes. And if your skin tends to be on the sensitive side, take an extra precaution and skip the gym, pool, and ocean for about three days, as the friction from the tight clothing can cause irritation. After Care tips and guidelines card will be provided after completing your service at Glow Day Spa. Please follow these guidelines closely for best results.

Does a Brazilian Wax hurt?

Unfortunately, ripping hair out of follicles isn’t going to be an utterly comfortable experience. However, in the hands of an experienced certified esthetician, the process is only minorly painful. It helps if your esthetician has extensive experience with hair removal, especially with Brazilian & Bikini Waxes. Make sure she holds your skin taut. She may even ask you for help. You might not want to wax four (4) days before, or four (4) days after your menstrual cycle, as you may find it is a little more painful on these days. On those days, we recommend popping an Advil or two twenty minutes before your appointment. If you do decide to wax during your menstrual cycle, please arrive to your appointment squeaky clean with a new tampon. Feminine wipes are made available. Whatever you have heard about the pain factor involved in Brazilian & Bikini Waxing, forget about it! It’s really not that bad. And always remember: we are not here to force you to do anything you don’t want to do. If you feel like you can’t handle it, tell your esthetician to stop or at least give you a break.

Can I use a numbing cream before I wax?

We would rather you didn’t. Numbing creams can interfere with the application of the wax or, in certain situations, cause allergic reactions. For instance, somebody could be allergic to a benzocaine that contains an anti-itch formula without knowing it. They apply it before they wax, then become itchy. Thinking this is a reaction to the wax, they reapply the product, and therefore worsen the situation. Beyond this, I’m wary of using chemicals around such a sensitive area full of membranes and have heard horror stories of people not knowing a wax is too hot for their skin (our wax is kept at a steady warm temperature) because they are so numb. So, please avoid numbing creams or sprays.

Will I be uncomfortable after my wax?

For those of you who are getting a Brazilian or a Bikini Wax for the first time, I would say “probably.” Let’s put it this way, the coarser your hair and the more sensitive your skin, the more sensitivity you will feel during and after the wax. Some first-time clients are uncomfortable for an hour or so and others feel a little bit sore for a day or two. It is important not to wear tight jeans or pants if it is your first time waxing. Don’t throw yourself into a spinning class or do anything else that involves a lot of friction right after a wax! The best way to minimize the discomfort is to take an ibuprofen 20 minutes before you wax, another after your wax, and then use a cool compress on the area if needed. (But remember not to place the ice directly on your skin.) You won’t need to do this every time, but it may help the first couple of times. Once you start waxing regularly, it will become a breeze and you likely won’t feel any discomfort once the wax is finished. Plus, we always use fabulous balms to treat your skin after a wax to ensure the most rapid relief possible!

How long will the results of a Brazilian or Bikini Wax last?

It really depends. Hair grows at different cycles depending on the person and sometimes your cultural background. Shaved hair does not grow back in one cycle. We are seeing more and more that after a first wax, shaved hair will still appear days after the wax. This is typically because the client didn’t wait long enough for ALL of the hair to grow out. You will, however, notice that after a few Brazilian Waxes your hair will start to grow in much slower and finer. Shaved hair is much thicker because it gets cut off at its thickest point. Don’t, therefore, have high expectations of extremely smooth skin after your first wax. This comes with time and the patience of growing all of your hair out at the same time.
